Broadly speaking we have divided the spectacle of Tanzanian Africa into four safari tour circuits: The first is the Northern Circuit: Climb Kilimanjaro the world's tallest free standing mountain at 5895 metres offering trekking, mountaineering, short hikes over the Shira plateau, nature trails, even trout fishing. Visit Serengeti the oldest national park and famous for it's annual migration of six million hooves, when 200,000 zebra, 300,000 Thomsons gazelle join the join the wilderbeest's trek for fresh grazing, watched intently by lion, leopard, and a high density of cheetahs prowling the southeastern plains. Lake Manyara's lush jungle-like groundwater forest with ancient mahogany trees habituated by hundred-strong groups of baboons, blue monkeys, bushbuck and outsized forest hornbills honking from the canopy. Then the contrasting grass floodplain, pink flamingo, pelican, cormorant and stalk filled alkaline lake and jagged volcanic peaks. Huge buffalo, wildebeest, zebra and giraffes congregate here for the lush grass. The belt of acacia trees home the the famous tree climbing lions and frequented by tusked elephant. The world's largest intact 'caldera' Ngorongoro Crater also being the world's most densely populated wildlife areas for grazers and predators. Olduvai Gorge; the cradle of mankind, between Ngorongoro Conservation Area and The Serengeti. Tarangire with it's walking safaris, Maasai visits and Barabaig villages, it's huge elephant populations, impala, hartebeest, and eland. Where pythons climb trees as do the lions and leopards, and on drier ground you find the world's heaviest flying bird the Kori bustard aswel the largest earth bound - the ostrich. Arusha National Park hosting canoeing safaris, in the beautiful Momela Lakes surrounded by the rich selection of resident and migrant waterfowl, shaggy waterbucks and flamingos amongst them. Look out for early morning slinking leopards and spotted hyenas, darting wide eyed Dik Dik. Southern Circuit: The untrammelled wilderness of Ruaha with it's 10,000 elephants, huge collection of greater kudu, sable and roan antelope, Grants gazelle, endangered African wild dog packs, striped and spotted hyena,and some 450 species of bird such as the yellow-collared lovebird. Mikumi abutting the Selous with it's comparsions to the Serengeti plains filled with large grazers, closely surveyed by lion. Again a cornucopia of 400 species of bird such as the bateleur eagle, lillac breated roller and yellow-throated longclaw. Giraffes favourite haunt is the acacia fringed Mkata River, elephant ever appreciating the shade. Saadani National Park with it's white sandy Indian Ocean beaches and cool palms where the last major green turtle breeding sites remain, and with elephant and lion at a nearby waterhole. Reedbuck, red duiker, yellow baboon, vervet monkey aswel as the giraffe, buffalo and warthog team in this suprisingly diverse ecosystem. Take a boat-trip on the mangrove lined Wami River and see for yourself the hippos, crocodiles and a host of marine and riverine birds including the mangrove kingfisher and lesser flamingo frequent. The primeval Udzungwa Mountains standing as the most bio-diverse of a chain of isolated massifs with it's naturalist's treasure of unique plants and animals found no-where else on earth. Enjoy forest trail trekking adventures here to the Sanjay Waterfalls. Western Circuit: Rubondo Island National Park nestled in the southwest corner of Lake Victoria, a unique environment renowned for it's fish eagles, yellow spotted otters, crocodiles, abundant tilapia fish and 100kg Nile perch waiting to temp fisherman. Abundant birds and mammals, genet and mongoose share the humid forest with chimpanzee, elephant and giraffe. Chimpanzee tracking, camping safaris, snorkling and boating in Gombe Stream, Mahale. Katavi, the isolated home of waterbirds, hippo and crocodile in the floodplains of the Katuma River and associated Lake Katavi and Chada. Kitulo, the Garden of God, the botanist's Serengeti of Flowers an ecology with 350 species of vascular flowers with 45 varieties of orchid. Chameleon, frog, Denham's bustard, endangered blue swallow, mountain marsh widow. The Selous Game Reserve; 55,000 square kilometres of untouched wilderness. Island Paradise: Zanzibar Beach Holidays; white beaches, azure ocean with spectacular coral reefs, dolphin excursions and the ecological spectacle that is Jozani Forest, rich with endemic species.
